We work in partnership with the Local Authority Attendance team in order to monitor all absences and lateness of all children in school. Across the school, whole school attendance is usually between 96% – 97% throughout the year. The Pastoral Team at Park Hill meet half termly to review all children. Where attendance is below 95%, we will usually write to parents to make them aware. If the attendance figure is significantly low, an Educational Welfare Officer from Coventry City Council will usually make contact to discuss issues.
Please remember that you have a legal duty to send your child to school every day.
CHILD ILLNESS PROCEDURE
On the first day of absence you will need to contact school to report the reason for absence. Contact the school by phone on 024 76 466669, before 9am or via email at email@example.com. When contacting school please give your child’s name and class and the nature of the illness. If nobody is available to take your call then please leave a message. The Attendance Officer will follow up any unreported absences with a phone call or home visit.
